BEAUTY draws us to contemplate truth and goodness. As Dietrich von Hildebrand profoundly points out, “At the sight of the truly beautiful we are freed from the tension that urges us on toward some immediate practical goal. We become contemplative, and this is immensely valuable. We expand, and even our soul itself becomes more beautiful when beauty comes to meet us, takes hold of us, and fires us with enthusiasm. It opens our eyes[…]it opens our hearts, inviting us to transcendence and leading us in conspectu Dei, before the face of God.” Each Sacred work I paint, whether it hangs on the walls of a church or in the comfort of a loving home, is done in prayer and with the purpose of sharing true Beauty Himself to all who look upon it.

There is a vast array of treasures offered to us during our life. Each moment is filled with joy and a call towards deeper communion. The chapters in our life unfold and lead us onward to becoming the best versions of ourselves. Though we are not called to remain in the past, we are to cherish our memories and to allow them to continually transform our hearts. Thus, when I photograph others I seek to savor each transforming treasure. Your unique story is filled with magnificent splendors that are to be cherished, to be shared. I would be humbled to do just that.

“The body, in fact, and only the body, is capable of making visible what is invisible: the spiritual and the divine. It has been created to transfer into the visible reality of the world the mystery hidden from eternity in God, and thus to be a sign of it.” (St. John Paul II). I continue my artistry into movement as another means to communicate the deep aspirations, delights, pains, and struggles of humanity. Dance has the ability to reach hearts in ways that words cannot. With movement, we taste the life of another intimately and thus have the ability to understand more of who we are and who we are called to be.

The Journey of this life is meant to be shared. We are to call each other higher, to lift each other up, and to hold each other sweetly. For when God writes our story, it is always intertwined with the lives of others. Therefore, I often pause my creative work to share inspirational discoveries with others whether it be over a cup of coffee or on a large stage. It delights me to be His vessel, to be His gem, to be known by Him, and thus to know Him. Each day I learn how to see more clearly, how to taste more fully, how to listen from within. It is true, His mercy is new every morning. With enthusiasm and gratefulness I hope to be a witness, to share what I am learning, and to walk with others in this life.
